Associations, Federations and Special Interest Groups

Aware of the importance of international cooperation for the advancement of science, INSTICC works closely together with several other national and international associations and is proud to welcome them as partners in its activities or to arrange initiatives in cooperation with them.

While several forms of partnership are welcome, INSTICC places special value in "Technical Co-Sponsorships", by means of which both associations support each other from a scientific perspective for their mutual benefit. Additionally, in this case, members of partner organizations benefit from the same registration conditions as INSTICC members.

Workflow Management Coalition

Founded in 1993, the Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC) is a global organization of adopters, developers, consultants, analysts, as well as university and research groups engaged in workflow and BPM. The WfMC creates and contributes to process related standards, educates the market on related issues, and is the only standards organization that concentrates purely on process. The WfMC created Wf-XML and XPDL, the leading process definition language used today in over 80 known solutions to store and exchange process models. XPDL is a process design format for storing the visual diagram and all design time attributes.

European Society of Agricultural Engineers

The European Society of Agricultural Engineers (EurAgEng) exists to promote the profession of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering and the people who serve it. The Society is particularly active in Conferences, Special Interest Groups, Publications, Networking and International lobbying.

International Association of Railway Operations Research

The International Association of Railway Operations Research was founded on 8 June 2005 during the 1st International Seminar on Railway Operations Modeling and Analysis at Delft University of Technology and decided on the following mission statement:

IAROR combines the expertise of academic and professional railway research with the aim of:

enhancing the quality of service for railway passengers and customers
improving the effectiveness and efficiency of capacity management, timetabling, traffic management and
ensuring the safety of railway operations.

Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics

SIAM was incorporated in 1952 as a nonprofit organization to convey useful mathematical knowledge to other professionals who could implement mathematical theory for practical, industrial, or scientific use. Since then, SIAM’s goals have remained the same:

•   To advance the application of mathematics and computational science to engineering, industry, science, and society;
•   To promote research that will lead to effective new mathematical and computational methods and techniques for science, engineering, industry, and society;
•   To provide media for the exchange of information and ideas among mathematicians, engineers, and scientists.
The ICORES conference chair Prof. Greg Parlier is the SIAM representative.

French Association for Constraint Programming

The French Association for Constraint Programming (AFPC) aims at promoting constraint programming in every aspect of the scientific world, by encouraging its theoretical and practical developments, its teaching in the academic institutions, its adoption in the industrial world, and its use in the the application fields. AFPC is a non-profit association, which uses the profit of the organized events to support future events or activities.
